There seems to be an increasing amount of uncertainly within the business and wider communities at this moment. Increased uncertainty can lead to increased anxiety and other, more negative influences in your life.

Confidence really does makes the world go around. A more optimistic outlook will give a greater sense of peace, a greater focus on your work and most importantly, healthier relationships and a healthier you.

 

Some things you can do to increase your optimistic outlook:

1. Focus on the positive aspects of your life. It seems simple enough, but when was the last time you asked yourself ‘What do I have to be grateful for today?’ You’ll be surprised how long the list is.
2. Chunk your challenges. Have a few things that are getting you down or causing a few headaches right now? Chunk them into smaller, more manageable goals. If you look at the sum-total of a challenge, it may seem unattainable, but if you chunk it down into more bite sized pieces, it may seem easier.
3. Increase your self care strategies. Do more exercise, listen more to music you like. No, REALLY listen to it. The words, the melody, the things that drew you to it. Spend more time with friends and family if you can. Write a list of what you are good at.
4. Focus on keeping those around you more positive and upbeat if you notice they are starting to falter in their optimism, help them put in some self care strategies as well.
